Anchovy Recipe

Said to have been named after Rita Hayworth’s character in the film ‘Gilda’ - both are verde,

salada y picante. 

From Spain’s Basque region, this pintxo (spiked) mouthful has only four ingredients: green olive, guindilla (picked chilli), salted anchovy and cornichons, all pierced along the length of a toothpick. 

The trick is to spike the anchovy twice (either side of a pickle) so you can eat it in one bite! 

We think they are the sexiest way to start a meal.
